From 9 to 11 October, the University of Hamburg will celebrate the 20th anniversary of theOffice for Theology of Peace Churches (ATF)takes place.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the ATF invites you toSaturday, October 10th, 2026 at 07:00 PMfor a special concert reading withJudy Bailey and Patrick Depuhla.
The event will take place on the premises of theChristuskirche Altona; Suttnerstraße 18, 22765 Hamburgtakes place.
A dialogue with songs from the bottom of the soul and lyrics between lightness and profundity. About the story behind the story... Judy Bailey and Patrick Depuhl give an evening full of humor to the heart and brain. They sing about roots, the world and homeland, tell of father, country and God, because they are convinced that most of the things he created are amazingly colorful...
Her concert reading is open, vulnerable and strong. Or in the words of concertgoers:"What an evening! How courageous, how clever, how beautiful", "moving in its depth and originality", "full of hope in all the hardships". The evening unfolds in front of an impressive stage set that, in combination with the songs and stories, opens up new spaces in the mind and heart.
The artists celebrated the preview premiere with friends and neighbors in their own living rooms; the premiere five days later in front of almost 1000 spectators, in the Dortmund Konzerthaus, where the Philharmonie usually plays. The two well-traveled people are on the road on all continents; exception: Antarctica. Their musical journey has taken them to over 30 countries, to performances in front of millionaires and ministers, presidents, the Pope and Nobel Prize winners, as well as to the homeless, prisoners and refugees, and to 14 albums of their own. In 2020, they won a NRW Heimatpreis from the Ministry of Home Affairs as a team with their unifying "Dorf Musik Projekt".

Judy Bailey sings. At the age of eight in the church choir in Barbados. At 17 her first own songs with guitar. At 21 in London for her first own album. She sings her songs with courage and beaming joy, with an unstoppable hope. She sings in refugee camps and prisons, in old churches and new clubs, at festivals and festivals in Hong Kong and the Congo, in Canada, India, Australia and again and again in Germany, where she lives today.

Judy is a world musician and a citizen of the world. Her musical journey has taken her to every continent, to twelve of her own albums, collaborations with musicians from Eddy Grant to the Söhne Mannheims and the Bonn Beethoven Orchestra. She sang on the official Football World Cup album in 2010 and in the summer of 2013 at the World Youth Day in Rio in front of over 3 million people and Pope Francis. In 2017 she played at Reformation festivals from Finland and Romania to Munich, Berlin and Wittenberg.
