Last Council Meeting of the Regional Association of Northern Germany

On April 25, 2026, around 130 delegates from 40 of 59 congregations of the Northern Germany Regional Association met for their last council meeting in the congregation in Lüneburg (Friedenskirche).

Pastor Benedikt Elsner, Regional Coordinator North of the Federation of Evangelical Free Church Congregations (BEFG), led to the focus of the conference from the beginning with the foreword "Blessing moves". Based on a comparison from club life, he encouraged people to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the new structures. In addition, he reported on the serious changes that are also occurring at the federal level and require great commitment. He is happy and grateful that the starter teams have formed everywhere in the regions. At the same time, challenges remain for the congregations, for example dwindling financial opportunities and volunteer work in addition to the demands of everyday life.
